Statement on New Zealand Terrorist Attack

Ar-Razzaq Islamic Center join with all those across the nation and around the world who are standing in solidarity with the Christchurch Muslim Community, offering heart felt condolences and prayers for the families of the 50 innocent lives tragically taken, as well as those lives shaken, shattered and left void, by yet another senseless act of violence driven by hate.  We pray the deceased are in the highest levels of paradise.  We ask G-d to envelop the loved ones left behind with His mercy and comfort in this time of extreme difficulty.  We ask our friends and neighbors to pray for our community and all other communities of faith to be protected from evil and hate we are witnessing in the world today.

These senseless acts of savage killings are drawing people of faith and good conscious together, as we are witnessing countless responses of comfort and offerings of assistance from friends and neighbors.  These experiences shine a bright light on our unity and strength as a nation.  Please join us in the stand against hate and for peace.  Thank you for your continued support and we encourage our Muslim community to read the encouraging and comforting words sent to us by our friends and neighbors.

O Humanity! We have created you of a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with in the sight of G-d is he who is the most righteous of you. G-d is All-knowing and All-aware.

Holy Qur'an, Chapter 49, Verse 13

Saying of Muhammad the Prophet (peace be upon him)

Say ye: “We believe in G-d (Allah), and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to G-d (Allah) (in Islam).”
