Hello-
I left a phone message today to express my deepest sadness at the tragedy in Christchurch, NZ and to condemn white supremacy and its perpetrators. I am a member of the catholic community of Immaculate Conception, your neighbor, and would like to visit and discuss ways in which we can work together to combat hatred and sow peace.  My prayers are with the families of all who died, with those who were killed-that they may be in Paradise-and with those who survived for their healing. Please know that our family stands with you against hate and for peace.  As-salamu alaykum.

Friends in Faith,

As the thunder rolls outside and storm clouds cover the sun, I am reminded of the horrendous act of terror that took place at the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand this day.  I am mortified that anyone could plan such a murderous act for over two years, and carry it out on innocent Muslim people of faith out of xenophobic fear.  My prayers are with your people on this Holy Day of yours, as you try to explain yet another act of fear/hatred turned violent.  Please know that we stand in solidarity with you on this day, and hold firm to our common love of Allah/Yahweh/God, who values all lives as precious, mourns with us as we mourn, even while yearning for peace, shalom, and well-being for our world.  In hope and prayer,
